Eid-ul-Fitr 1446/2025 Salaah Times
There will be four Jama’ats for Eid ul-Fitr Salah this year at 7:45 AM, 8:30 AM, 9:20 AM, and 10:20 AM. Sisters are welcome to attend any of these prayer times. The masjid is expected to be very busy, so please arrive with ablution (wudu) already performed. Remember to give your Zakat al-Fitr (£5 per person) before Eid.
The Significance of Eid ul-Fitr
Eid ul-Fitr is a day of gratitude, joy, and unity, marking the completion of Ramadan. It is a time to thank Allah SWT for the strength to observe fasting and to seek His mercy and blessings. The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) emphasised the importance of spreading love, strengthening community ties, and helping those in need on this blessed day.
Sunnahs of Eid ul-Fitr
To maximize the blessings of this day, follow these Sunnahs: Perform Ghusl (ritual bath) before the prayer.
Wear your best modest clothing and apply perfume (for men).
Recite Takbeer on the way to the Eid prayer:
“Allāhu Akbar, Allāhu Akbar, Lā ilāha illallāh, Wallāhu Akbar, Allāhu Akbar, Wa lillāhil-ḥamd.” Eat something sweet, such as dates, before leaving for Salah.
Take a different route when returning home from prayer.
Greet others with “Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum” (May Allah accept from us and from you).
Dua for Eid
اللهم أهل علينا شهر شوال بالأمن والإيمان، والسلامة والإسلام، والتوفيق لما تحب وترضى
“O Allah, bring upon us the month of Shawwal with security and faith, safety and Islam, and guidance to what You love and are pleased with.”
May Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and good deeds, and may this Eid bring peace and happiness to you and your loved ones. Eid Mubarak!
